Mount Catherine
A moderate to strenuous day hike of up to six miles and 2,050 feet of elevation gain. Enjoy views of the Snoqualmie Pass area peaks and Keechelus Lake.
getting there
Take Exit 54 (Hyak) off of I-90 and look for Snoqualmie Drive on the right. Cold Creek Road (Forest Road 9070) heads south off of Snoqualmie drive at a sharp bend and traverses around Mount Hyak and the south side of Mount Catherine where it intersects with the trail at the lower and upper trailheads. The lower trailhead is at 3,100 ft and the upper trailhead is at 3,700 ft.
on the trail
From the lower trailhead, hike 1.8 miles and about 600 feet of elevation gain to the upper trailhead. The upper section of the trail follows a ridgeline running roughly east-west, gaining 1,300 feet in just over a mile.
