Narada Falls & Reflection Lakes Loop
A nice moderate loop hike with great views! Hike past Reflection Lake with Mount Rainier's reflection in it and take in expansive views from Faraway Rock and follow a sequence of cascades down the Paradise River. It's a 5-mile loop with 1,150 feet of elevation gain.
getting there
From SR-7 in Elbe, turn east onto SR-706, both known as the National Park Highway. Continue through the Nisqually Entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. Be prepared to pay the fee just after entering the park. Drive 16 miles to the Narada Falls trailhead (4,600 ft).
on the trail
Begin the hike at beautiful Narada Falls, following the trail on the east side of the falls. Continue for 0.2 mile to the junction with the Wonderland Trail and take the left fork. Follow the Wonderland Trail through the forest for 1.2 miles, cross Stevens Canyon Road, and follow trail east along the south side of Reflection Lakes with Mount Rainier in the background. In 0.6 mile at the junction at 4,800 ft, turn left (north) and follow the Lakes Trail north 1 mile to Faraway Rock, a great spot for views and lunch! View Stevens Canyon to the east, Louise Lake below and the Tatoosh Range to the south! Continue the hike north and then west on the High Lakes Trail and then west and south on the Narada Falls Trail down the Paradise River passing a series of cascades back to Narada Falls.
