Rock Mountain
When there's snow, scramble to a summit on Nason Ridge that is significantly higher than the crest of the Cascade Mountains to the west. Enjoy the views from this high point that is 11 miles round trip with 4,300 feet of elevation gain.
getting there
Drive SR 2 8.5 miles east of Stevens Pass (26 miles from Leavenworth) and turn north onto Old Rd 667, an inconspicuous dirt road, and almost immediately reach the trailhead (2,675 ft).
notes
- Caution is advised when traveling from the southern (false) summit to the true summit. The connecting ridge is narrow and sometimes has cornices.
