Lake Valhalla
A moderate hike or backpack from Stevens Pass or Smith Brook Road on the Pacific Crest Trail that skirts Lichtenburg Mountain to visit Lake Valhalla and/or Mount McCausland. Hike round trip from both trailheads or one-way either direction.

Smith Brook Trailhead
From Stevens Pass, drive 6 miles east on US 2 to the Mill Creek exit. Make a U-turn at Mill Creek to get into the westbound lanes of the divided highway, and drive west 1.2 miles. Turn right (north) onto Smith Brook Road (Forest Road 67) and follow it 2.8 miles to the Smith Brook Trailhead (3,950 ft).
