Wapta Traverse
A long distance, very strenuous 28-mile backcountry ski tour with 5,400 feet of elevation gain. The route travels to a series of huts along the way so it is easy to turn the trip into a relaxed multi-day trip. It's a classic trip on the icefield north of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Ski glaciers, peaks and fantastic terrain, using the Whyte, Bow, Balfour and Duncan huts.
