Sage Hills—Horse Lake Viewpoint Loop

10.6-mile loop, 1,822 feet of elevation gain

The route winds through verdant green rolling hills infused with dewy sage lingering in the morning air and in-season blooming sunflowers and more. It climbs 700 feet over the first 3 miles and then stays high to the Horse Lake Viewpoint before a long descent with views of the Wenatchee River, bottoming out near mile 7 and one last climb (~700 feet) to mile 9.5 and then an easy grade down to the finish. The beauty is short lived, because the flowers wilt quickly in the Eastern Washington summer heat.
