Alpine Scramble - Humpback Mountain

A conservative conditioner in the rain.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Trail is in as good a shape as usual.

No problems getting to the upper road.

Starting from the upper road is a summer luxury, and Humpback is a nice quick conditioner.

The climbers trail is in great shape. We made good time to the ridge and then up another 1000 feet or so. At the first big rocks we turned around because it was wet. The route probably would have gone, but we were in a conservative decision making mood given it was dark and wet.

We made it back to the cars in just under 2 hours total, from a max elevation of 4650’

No summit, but still a successful outing.
