Icy snow and snow in pathches till the saddle at 2900 ft (microspikes used). Continuous snow right above. Snowshoes needed. Breaking trail from saddle to our turn around point on bump at 5457 ft.
Great sunny day out with a nice group of 7 scramblers. We set out at 8:15 am and decided to go as far as we felt like and since it was such a nice day that we kept going a way up the ridge. Stopped for lunch around 1:15 and used Tom Ungar' s group decision making method to decide whether we should continue a bit more or turn around. Everyone chose to continue to a bit longer to see if we could reach a bump on the map that we thought may have views into the Enchantment. We reached a flat spot at 5457 ft that delivered such coveted views with primo sighting of the Ice Cliff Glacier on Stuart, . We took some pictures there and turn around at 2 pm. 6 hours up (including many stops) and 3 down. Back at the cars at 5 pm. 111. 5 miles, 4307 ft of gain and 8:40 elapsed time.

Four of us went to South in Leavenworth for an excellent Mexican dinner and great brews from Icicle Creek Brewery. Great day!
