Alpine Scramble - Not Hinkhouse Peak (Point 6878)

6 scramblers did the pleasant clockwise loop over Not Hinkhouse, enjoying good views even as it began to cloud up. Thunder started to rumble when we were at Long's Pass, but it never rained pn us.

  • There were small patches of snow, but no need for  ice axes.

The forecast called for mostly sunny skies with a 30% chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon.  The actuality was mostly sunny with no rain, but the thunder arrived earlier than expected.   Fortunately, we were able to get off the ridge as soon as the thunder began.

All in all, a very pleasant day in the mountains.
