Alpine Scramble - Silver Peak

Started from Windy Pass, and hiked the PCT to gain the saddle between Silver and Tinkham Peaks.  Encountered snow along the PCT starting about 1.5 mi into our trip, which remained fairly consistent to the base of the scree field around 5,000ft- perhaps about 3 mi in.  Beautiful clear day, the remaining portion of the route was clear of snow.  

Suggest higher clearance vehicles to access trailhead- there are two significant wash-outs that are passable, but are deep.

From what we could see, Tinkham Peak appears to have snow at least to the ridge from the Silver-Tinkham saddle.
