Surprisingly marshy conditions in the basin SE of 3rd Burroughs (possibly due to recent weather).
A great traverse with beautiful fall colors in all directions. Clouds gave us dramatic peaks of Rainier throughout the day with temps varying between brisk (when windy) and toasty ‘basking in the sun’ warm (when not). Total time of 9 hours for this 13 mile, 4800’ trip. Photos from this and other trips to this venue can be seen here.
