Alpine Scramble - Wolf Peak

A delightful scramble of a seldom scrambled peak with wonderfully sticky granite rock to climb on and gorgeous views.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

Wolf Peak is a summit on the ridge connecting Vesper Peak and Sperry Peak. We had originally intended to scramble up Vesper Peak, but when we got to the lake we could see that Vesper was totally obscured by clouds but that Wolf Peak was below the clouds. Since none of us had ever climbed Wolf and most of us had climbed Vesper repeatedly, we decided to go explore Wolf. We were really glad we did, as the scramble up Wolf is much more exciting (steeper) than the walk to Vesper. And the views from Wolf are awesome!

On the way home, we tried the brand-new Thai restaurant in Granite Falls and give it two thumbs up!
