The fireline provides a ski able path through the "christmas tree farm" of the regrowing clear cuts on Jolly. The fire line runs from 4400ft down to 2950 ft. The fire line doesn't quite connect to the road at the hairpin at 2800ft -- but a steep climb SE through the forest from the apex of the hairpin reaches the fireline.
Above the road crossing at 4400ft the fire stops and the old clear cut / Christmas tree farm above was scorched by the fire, but the burned Christmas Trees are still standing and too dense for enjoyable skiing.
Jolly mtn provided good views today. Skiing in the fire line from the 2017 Jolly Mtn provided a narrow path down through the Christmas Tree Farm. Too bad there was only 1 inch of dust on top of the rain crust and a couple snow bikes invaded the the "voluntary non motorized area"
