Basic Alpine Climb - Yellowjacket Tower/East Flank

Solid crew however the weather just wasn't cooperating.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • There is still a little compacted snow in the upper gulley (past the last rap station).

The weather was brutal.  The windiest that I've ever encountered in the canyon in 12 years.  It snowed sideways on us all morning.  It was just too much for a first-time alpine climb.  Fun factor dipped and we pulled the plug to wait for another day.
