Packed snow. Some skiers at the start of the route.
I’ve only been up to this area once a few years ago and planned quick trip with a group in the afternoon after a morning snowboarding. Best way to describe the meeting point is parking lot 4 by the dumpsters/portapotties. Not a beautiful place to start but once we got going it was an easy trip. Hardly any fresh snow but it was pretty closer to the lakes. Some of the group wore snow shoes but some just used spikes. We wandered around past grace lakes since we wanted a little more time in the snow. Headed back when we came across the “do not enter, avalanche IED” signs.
