Several inches light fresh snow on firm base
The day started out auspicious with a cougar sighting on the drive in.
Due to low avy danger we hiked the road to upper Anderson Lake.
We headed up from the lower lake and followed the road at 4080' until heading up the W ridge, eventually opening up into beautiful open terrain before joining the main trail just before the hut.
After a break at the hut gazing at Rainier, it was a quick trip down to the upper snow park.
