Crag Rock Climb - Red Rock Canyon

This was supposed to be a trip to Indian Creek for the Alpine Ambassador’s, but conditions in the creek were not conducive to climbing (snow and temps in the 30’s). For this reason the group decided to relocate the trip to Red Rocks just days before the trip started. We were lucky in that everybody was able to re-book flights and rental cars, and that all were good sports about the circumstances.

We climbed Beulah’s Book and Johnny Vegas (5.9 variation) the first day and Lotta Balls and Black Magic the second. Both days we split up into two groups and both groups climbed only one route. It was cold and windy in Red Rocks, and the days were short, which is why we did not climb more.
