Day Hike - Crystal Peak (Mount Rainier)

Excellent trail conditions. Arrived before 8 a.m. and only three or four other cars parked.  Huckleberries are out, especially on the upper slopes where the leaves are turning red. Perfect weather with sunshine and cool breezes. Could not have been better! We hit the summit in 2.5 hours, spent an hour there enjoying the fabulous views. A few hungry yellow jackets finally convinced us to head down. Only one other hiker arrived while we were there, and no one else heading up. Everyone else must have gone to Crystal Lake. We were back at the cars in 1.5 hours.

We dubbed ourselves the "Dream Team"!
