No bugs, plenty of parking available, no crowds, and a fantastic day to be on the trail!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Only a few spots of mud, trail in great condition. Forested with a viewpoint and calm lake.Fragrance3.jpg

We parked at the Lost Lake Day Use Area, Discover Pass required. There was plenty of parking  at 8:30am. After group gathering and discussions, we took the Interurban Trail to the Fragrance Lake Trail and continued up through the forested trail, taking the short spur to the viewpoint off to the left. It was a little overcast but we could still see some of the islands. The trail was in great condition, only a few muddy spots, and only passed a handful of other hikers. We continued to the lake for a quick break. The lake was peaceful with only a little rain. We continued around the lake loop enjoying the views of large boulders above. There were no bugs. We got back to the cars with plenty of parking still available just before 1:00pm. It was about 1,100 feet gain and 5.5 miles roundtrip and we had about a 2.0 mph pace. It was a great day to be out on the trail!
