Trip Report

Day Hike - Granite Mountain Trail

Excellent group, hike, weather, views. The only complaint was the noise from the helicopter flying over I-90 most of the day. Heli noise is way worse than the white noise of I-90

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • As expected, no water after Pratt Lake trailhead. Pleasant surprise is that there are still blueberries available for the picking.

Seemed even less people than usual on weekdays.
Except for the one descending trail runner, all hikers were good about offering right of way to the people ascending and getting off the trail and turning away.

This strong, experienced group of "senior citizens" was 3 hours up, 1 hour hanging out on top and exploring the summit, 2:40 descending.
