Beautiful evening - the weather was fine, the view along the way was clear, companions were excellent and the falls were flowing. Unfortunately I am dropping this one from my after-hours list because as pleasant as the evening was, there was the worry in the last mile as to whether or not we would get back to the cars in time.
WARNING: the gates close at 8 PM, not dusk as the state and county parks do. As we were exiting someone came to close the gate shortly after 8 PM. He told us that the cars would not have been locked in as this was a high crime area, but TOWED to Seattle. I could not find anything on the DNR website describing the procedure and do not know if this also applies to Little Si and Mt. Si which are in the same Natural Resources Conservation Area.
