The trail is in good shape. It is a rocky trail. There are some snow patches to cross, not vey difficult. They will be gone soon.
The road is being repaired this summer. It is better than at any other time I have been on it, though still a bit rough. The parking lot was full by 8 AM.
The Bear grass is late this year, we saw very little in bloom. Instead we saw Trilliums higher up. It was an incredibly clear day, the views were gorgeous. We saw the Cascades Mt. Adams to Mt. Baker and the Olympics. Mt. Rainier was of course the star.
