No snow on the route. Old trail slightly muddy in places, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The predicted and almost constant rain kept us motivated and efficient on this morning conditioner. Everyone worked together well and stayed in sight through the dark woods. We tagged the mailbox, got the mandatory photo, the scurried back down the boulder field while lashed by strong wind and horizontal rain. Enjoyed a first lunch just below the boulder field, in the protected tree area, then sauntered down the new trail. 2:15 up, 2:00 down, and home for second lunch.
