The final mile to the trailhead is not paved but is in very good condition. Watch for deep holes on the short ramp to the parking area.
We ascended the left (steeper) side from Horse Camp and did the lollipop loop down the other side. No snow on the trail, just a few areas of snow remnants in the woods off trail. Maintenance is needed above Horse Camp on both sides, but there are no serious obstacles. Saw only a handful of other hikers, had the summit to ourselves. Perfect weather with no wind and comfortable temps. 6.3 miles rt/3,500' gain, and a bit over 5.5 hours round trip including breaks and a leisurely lunch on top. A very nice day out!
