beautiful day for a hike, all did well, including an extra effort.

Trail easy to follow! a couple of small patches of snow still left, likely gone pretty quick!
Long road driving to the eastside of Mt. Rainier from Tacoma. plenty of spaces at Sunrise Point for start of trip. Got to Upper Palisade Lake in less than two hours. Group decided (agreed to) go up foot path to top of Brown Peak. Had lunch just below the top since there were bugs inside the tree ring at the top. After getting down, stopped briefly at Upper Palisade Lake, then returned to trailhead.
