Day Hike - Rock Candy Mountain

Four of us hikers successfully completed the Rock Candy Mountain Loop in the Capitol Forest.  At the trailhead we met a guy that was going out on his motorcycle.  The trails are closed to motor vehicles right now, so they ride through the roads in the forest.   We saw two mountain bikers pushing their bikes up the trail.  Some of the trails are well marked and others are not.  There was a lot of water on the trail with some pretty big ponds in places.  We were able to successfully navigate those obstacles.  We hiked counterclockwise around the loop.  We did make a side trip to the peak of Rock Candy Mountain.
