Day Hike - Teneriffe (Kamikaze) Falls

A fall trip to a close in beautiful waterfall.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

Our party of eight had a successful hike to Teneriffe Falls.  The trail was its usual bipolar self, with the first section a (relatively) flat, wide abandoned road, followed by a rocky trail switchbacking up through the forest.  The falls themselves were even more impressive than usual, charged as they were with water from the recent rains.  While we were hardly the only party underway, population levels were low enough that we had the falls to ourselves for quite a while.  On return, we followed the suggestion of a party member to circle back by way of the Tereriffe Falls Connector, and Mount Teneriffe trails for an enjoyable variant loop.
