Day Hike - Tubal Cain Mine

a cool day hike!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • The roads were paved all the way to the edge of the Olympic National Forest. From then on, 14.5 miles of dirt road with occasional pot holes filled with water.  Road not muddy.

Once at the trail head, followed the trail to the Toll Canyon trail, then up to the aircraft wreckage. some of wreckage moved into camping area.  rhododendrons were starting to bloom, with those at slightly higher elevations still budding. streams passable.
