The Gombu trail is a nice steep stretch and is in great shape. A few muddy sections were not bad and easy to get around. Looped around to Shy Bear Pass did a side trip to Long View Peak, returned to cars via the Whittaker Wilderness trail. Saw only a couple of wildflowers beginning to bloom. Not many other hikers at first, but more on the way back. Parking lot was full on our return.
