Cool cloudy in AM, Sunny in PM. Smooth, glassy conditions. Minimal currents.
When I originally signed up for a Deception Pass paddle, I'd envisioned wild currents (which admittedly would have been tough for me as a newby). As such, glassy conditions allowed for exploration of some sea caves which was a highlight for me. Don did a great job of pinch hitting for Charlie on short notice- and everyone was safe and had a good time.
Wildlife sightings included many heron, porpoise and a massive Sea Lion. Trip departed on time and we returned with everyone paddling under their own power, which is a plus.
