  • Temps are lower in the mornings and by 1030 start to get into the 80's right now. By 1300 they rise into higher 80's. The sun is always present so make sure that you have sunscreen.

The rocks in Joshua Tree are sand stone so they are really grippy! The routes are not well marked and unless you really know where you are going it's hard to find them! So- spend sometime reading the local guide books before you go!

Once there make sure you have lots of PRO! The TRAD routes are everywhere and the average SPORT route has at least 4-5 anchor bolts.

Most routes you have to scramble over a lot of boulders in order to get to them so have fun and be careful- there are some that are really high and uneven spaced- not to mention the wildlife!!! We saw lots of snakes, coyetes, and spiders!

Once there on them enjoy the climbing and have lots of fun!
