Mount Rose

The unpaved mile to the trailhead is still in good condition, except for usual holes at the trailhead entrance. Only one other car at 9 a.m. and saw only a handful of other hikers the whole day. The first 2+ miles of trail are good. Portions of left side route from Horse Camp need maintenance. And from my previous trips, the whole lollipop loop is doable and nice, but past due for serious upkeep. 5.4 miles rt on the left route, 3,500' gain, 4.75 hours out and back. A perfect day for yet another a visit to ol' Rosie!
