Beautiful bluebird day, temperature was 60 deg F at the trailhead and 30-40 deg F at the top after wind chill.

Arrived early just before 8 AM and there was still plenty of parking, but when we returned to the lot after 12 PM it was very full. The parking lot had a significant amount of potholes, so take your time to avoid damage to your car. Make sure to bring your Discover Pass.

It was a beautiful day for a hike to chat and catch up with a friend. We took our time with plenty of stops to admire glimpses of the view on the way up. We completed the hike in under five hours. Both of us are reasonably fit. Microspikes were necessary about 3/4ths of the way up and the people who didn't have them were slipping quite a bit. We did not do the rock scramble at the top, but plenty of others did. I recommend layering since there was a large temperature difference between the trailhead and the top due to elevation gain. There were quite a few folks hiking with dogs as well.
