Mount Washington/Standard South Route (Olympics)

Snow started well before meadow basin
(~4900' elevation) and the team took turns
kicking steps. High clouds made it difficult
to see the summit ridge, but we were able to
stay on route. Eventually turned around due
to worsening snow conditions, primarily
cornices along the main route. Alternate
routes on rock were explored, but they were
all very exposed and hard to protect.
