Paved road up to artist point.
Arrived Saturday on a warm fall day to the trailhead at 930 am to an almost full parking lot. The hike was vary scenic the whole way. You could see Mount Shuksan and Baker most of the trail. Blue green tarns and goats at the end of the trail. Though this was a little long of a hike for the kids the elevation gain was not huge, and seemed very gradual.
