Winter Scramble - Windy Knob
The trip was changed from Sam Hill to Windy Knob hoping to avoid rain and to find easier snow to break trail than around the passes.

We started at Blewett Pass, where snowmobile activity was less frenzied than on previous visits. We followed the Tronsen Meadow trail system over already broken trails to the bowl west and below of Windy Knob. A direct route up the Knob brought us up a slope with an intermittently icy layer under thin snow for some demanding travel. We returned by corkscrewing around to the east and south, for a more enjoyable deep snow descent.
