Another year has passed and we are thankful for everything our community has brought us. Adventure, excitement, and friendships old and new have filled our year and brought us together. Thanks to you, we're starting off the new year with gratitude. We asked for your help to raise $75,000 before the close of 2018, and we exceeded that goal with 435 donors giving over $85,000 in support of a community that connects with and protects the outdoor experience. Thank you!
As a nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our donors and volunteers - without your support, we would not be able to provide the courses, activities, and events that make The Mountaineers so special. Thank you for your continued investment of time and talent, building this community with us.
Why We Give Back
"When I moved to Olympia in 1999 I was looking for a community that I could become a part of, make my home. Volunteering was a step in the right direction. Becoming involved with the Olympia Mountaineers opened up a whole new avenue for me - not only am I working closely with the conservation and stewardship team, but I write our local newsletter, a task I look forward to every month.
"For me, giving back has always been a part of my life. It’s a value I learned from my family that has always brought me deep satisfaction, from readying Christmas toys for donation as a 7-year-old to advocating for our public lands today. If you choose to follow this path, expect to have a grand adventure because living a life serving others is becoming the change you wish to see in the world. We should never underestimate the impact we can have on other people."
