The Gala, taking place on April 6, 2024 at Fremont Studios, is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The live and silent auction are big parts of the Gala that help us reach our Gala fundraising goal of $620,000. Bid on the ultimate getaway, experience or gear package and feel great knowing that your donation will help elevate the way our community transforms lives through outdoor education and conservation.

This year’s live auction will include eight packages, four of which whisk you away on these exciting adventures: K2 Base Camp Trek in Pakistan with Madison Mountaineering, an Eight-Night Stay in the Heart of the French Alps, a Five-Day Inca Trail & Rainbow Mountain Trek in Peru with Adventure TripR, and a Five-Night Mountain Retreat in the Grand Tetons at Windigo Lodge with Alaska Airlines.

Our silent auction offers several amazing opportunities to pack your bags and plan your next great adventure, including: an All-Access Package to the 2024 Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival in Alberta, a Four-Night Wine Country Stay in Napa, a Five-Day Maui Beachfront Getaway, and, new this year, a Weeklong Getaway in the Heart of Provence, France.
Thanks to our wonderful Mountaineers community, members have generously offered up their beloved getaway cabins, homes, and properties. Packages include stays with gear and other experiences at your fingertips, such as Weekend Crag Climbing in Leavenworth, a Five-Night Winter Wonderland Adventure in the Methow Valley, a Lake Wenatchee Waterfront Weekend, and a Mountaineers Baker Lodge Ski Weekend Adventure.
True to The Mountaineers mission, auction packages feature amazing opportunities to explore outside while learning. Paired with our Mountaineers Books titles, these packages link outdoor adventures with ways to enrich your skills and knowledge about the lands and waters of the Pacific Northwest. Packages include: Explore the Olympic Peninsula with Guided Hike of the Elwha River, a Six-Day Baker Mountaineering Course with Alpine Ascents International, a Guided Climb on Washington Pass with North Cascades Mountain Guides, and Spring & Fall Guided Mushroom Foraging Trips.
Packages in our silent auction include one-of-a-kind experiences and items, such as a Brew Your Own Beer with Ghostfish Brewing experience or a handcrafted wooden cutting board in our “A Taste for Finer Things” package made by Mountaineers staff member, Andy Bassett.
In our live auction, eight lucky bidders can win a seat at our Sunday April 7 dinner party with our Gala speakers, Rue Mapp and Reinhold Messner. Also in our live auction, one lucky bidder can take home the stunning photographic print of K2 taken in 1975 by Dianne Roberts and signed by Reinhold Messner and Jim Whittaker.
