It's always risky to plan an outdoor autumn event in the Pacific Northwest, but our daring paid off on September 25 because we couldn't have asked for better weather. Our Cocktails for Conservation event ran from 5-9pm, giving each attendee exclusive access to Mountaineering Club's rooftop bar and a complimentary drink.
The event was well attended, with over 100 Mountaineers members coming out to enjoy the beautiful 360-degree views, delicious drinks, and an evening of socializing. All ticket sales, as well as select proceeds from the bar, went toward The Mountaineers conservation efforts and helped raise over $3,500!
We were also very lucky to have the musician BYLAND join us for the occasion - all night she wowed the crowd with cover songs and original music.
The evening concluded with a stunning sunset over the city and some prize giveaways, made possible through kind donations from Filson, Patagonia, The North Face, and Gregory.
We also send many thanks to our friends at the Mountaineering Club who generously hosted our group for the event. Be sure to keep supporting them with your patronage (and mention you're a Mountaineers member to get the 10% year-round discount on your tab).
Advocacy for our wild spaces is a top priority for The Mountaineers and we are honored to have you support!
