Whether you're a Mountaineers leader or not, we invite you to join us for our Leadership Development Series Seminar with Ben Brown. Join us to develop skills and strategies for presenting, providing feedback, and evaluating understanding on Feb 10, 2020.
Ben has been a Mountaineers member and volunteer instructor for four years. In his day job, he works with teachers to help them improve their craft, and his leadership seminar will help you develop tools that you can take to your branch and put into practice with Mountaineers students.
He uses hands-on and interactive activities to dig into strategies for presenting information. You will learn to examine the importance of feedback in the learning process, and discuss how to determine whether or not your students leave an activity or field trip having learned the skills or knowledge in focus.
This session is purposefully structured to model strong instructional strategies. You won't be sitting for two hours straight! Come ready to move around and have discussions with other Mountaineers in how you might apply the strategies in your own instruction
