This grassroots giving event helps cultivate and celebrate the kind of Washington that we believe is possible. If equitable access to outdoor education and the conservation of our natural world are priorities for you, make sure to include The Mountaineers in your GiveBIG donations.
Contributions of all sizes add up to a big impact, and we need your help to unlock a special challenge. When 100 people make a GiveBIG donation, we’ll unlock an additional $10,000 matching gift supporting the mission and vision of The Mountaineers.

- Scholarships for youth and adults to access outdoor education
- Mountain Workshops, activity-focused programs for youth who may not otherwise have access to outdoor recreation
- Leadership development opportunities for 3,000+ volunteer leaders to develop skills in group facilitation, risk management, and emotional safety in the outdoors
- Conservation education for thousands of members, activity participants, and event attendees to reduce our impact on our natural world
- Conservation advocacy to support policies that protect and preserve our natural world and the outdoor experience

Everyone who donates $15 or more during the month of May will receive a limited edition Adventure with Purpose sticker.
The Mountaineers flourish thanks to a culture of giving. Our volunteers and donors give back and pay it forward, empowering others to confidently explore in their own backyards and beyond. Each act of giving strengthens our bonds and deepens our roots. We believe we are all connected, to this earth and to each other.

Over the course of GiveBIG, thousands of people across our region donated to elevate purpose-driven organizations that positively impact our communities. A $10,000 matching challenge was met when we reached 100 donors, raising a total of $21,112 to support outdoor education and conservation in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
GiveBIG kicked off our spring fundraising season, and we have a goal for 300 members to join us with donations in the month of May. We are already one third of the way there! The support of our community fuels our shared vision to Adventure with Purpose. Funds raised through our spring appeal support programs and books that make the natural world more accessible and conserve the outdoor experience for generations to come.
