Thank you to everyone who made a Giving Tuesday donation. We kicked off the giving season this week by smashing our Giving Tuesday goal. 94 members made donations of all sizes to provide scholarships for youth and adults to access Mountaineers programs.
In a heartfelt tribute, the family of beloved late Mountaineer Jeff Bowman offered a $20,000 match, inspiring our community to come together and amplify their impact. By the end of Giving Tuesday, members had donated more than $35,000. After doubling the first $20K, we infused our scholarship fund with $55,000 for the year ahead!
Hundreds of people will find confidence and community outdoors this year because of a scholarship. “Thanks for giving me this opportunity!” one 2024 recipient told us. “I've never met so many wonderful people in one place. It's truly a unique community. Many thanks to everyone involved.”

By the end of December, we need to raise $215,000 to support our mission in 2025. Meeting our Giving Tuesday goal has put us off to a great start! If you missed the chance to participate in Giving Tuesday, your unrestricted donation any time this month will propel us toward our December goal and ensure that outdoor access, education, and conservation are well supported in 2025.
