I have never met another organization quite like this: one that is truly led by a community of volunteers at every level. Members and volunteers develop the courses, lead the trips, and even write the books that sustain our outdoor education and recreation.
As a community, we have always sought to share the outdoor experience with others and protect the places that we love; and as a 501(c)(3), we can leverage philanthropic donations to have an even greater impact.
Last week we sent out an impact survey to help us better steward our resources and maximize our impact on outdoor access, education, and conservation. Your response to this quick, confidential survey will help continue our legacy of member-informed strategy and donor-supported impact, especially as we roll out our new strategic plan. Everyone who completes this survey by March 15 will be entered to win a copy of Trees of the West by Molly Hashimoto.
The Mountaineers® is a 501(c)(3) organization supported through earned revenue and elevated through charitable contributions. Tax ID:27-3009280. 7700 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115.
Donations strengthen our outdoors community through volunteer recognition, leadership development, need-based scholarships, conservation & advocacy work, and more. If you are inspired to make a gift, please visit mountaineers.org/donate.
