The Mountaineers
For the last five weeks we have been revealing auction sneak peeks and teasers, all in the hopes of getting you prepared for this moment - our online auction is now open for bidding! With over fifty packages available you’ll surely find something that piques your interest, from a Joshua Tree Getaway to a first edition copy of Freedom of the Hills.
Participation is simple and easy. Here’s what you need to know:
- First, register to bid. You’ll have a week to participate and if someone outbids you, you’ll get a notification. Bid high and bid often!
- All silent auction packages (look for the gray and green frames) will close at 7:10pm (PDT) on July 23.
- All live auction packages (gold frames) will be closed by our auctioneer during our livestream event on July 23. Keep in mind that there may be a lag between the video and the bidding, so don’t wait until the last minute to place your bid.
- You can stay up-to-date with the free event by registering online. If you’ve signed up for the auction you’re ready to go!
- We are also incorporating a virtual photo booth, so get online and take a snap in the theme of “All Dressed Up, Nowhere To Go.” Bonus points if you can incorporate a little adventure into your photo submission. By uploading a photo you will be entered into a random drawing for an Anthony’s Restaurants dinner for two (estimated valued at $50)!
- The livestream will begin with a pre-event show at 6:30pm (PDT) and opening remarks will begin promptly at 7pm (PDT) and can be viewed on YouTube Live.
All of the funds generated by this event will be reinvested back into our Mountaineers members, volunteers, places, programs, and books to help continue our services in a year where we need them most. So don’t be shy - bid, bid, bid!
