The Mountaineers North Sound Leadership Conference is a day-long conference held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Seattle Program Center in Magnuson Park. We hope you’re able to join us for this engaging and exciting day of leadership development. All are welcome to attend!
This year's program includes both esteemed outdoor professionals and seasoned leaders from our own Mountaineers community. A series of interactive sessions will explore the many facets of leadership – from risk management through the lens of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, to building resilience and grit as a leader, to navigating mentorship relationships, and more.
Our keynote speaker will be Jeanette Stawski. All attendees at this year’s Leadership Conference will receive a complimentary copy of Stawski book, The Outdoor Leader! Drawing on her decades of experience as a national outdoor leader, Jeannette Stawski will explore the elements of transformative leadership. Using real-life examples from the outdoors and every day, her teachings will focus on the essentials: resilience, grit, integrity, tolerance for adversity, and highly developed listening and communication skills.
