10 ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO THE MOUNTAINEERS?
I first learned about The Mountaineers when I went to the BANFF film festival shortly after moving to Olympia in 2021. I was trying to meet new people and make new friends that shared a love for the outdoors.
WHY DO YOU LIKE GETTING OUTSIDE WITH US?
Being outside helps me clear my head, destress, and brings life back into perspective. It's great to be part of a community of people that share this appreciation for the outdoors. What a fun group of folks!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOUNTAINEERS MEMORY?
Probably our first alpine scrambling snow field trip at Paradise when I got to see Mount Rainier up close for the very first time. Amazing!
WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
The thought of being on top of a mountain where all the stress and responsibilities of life just disappear and you can see the big picture of the world around you.
WHAT DOES ADVENTURE MEAN TO YOU?
Having a sense of curiosity. Big or small, an adventure begins with setting out to go somewhere or do something new, fun, and interesting. There's so much to see, explore, and discover. So, stay curious!
LIGHTNING ROUND
Sunrise or sunset? Sunrise
What's your 11th Essential? A bandana! (Mostly for allergies) But also a useful multipurpose and lightweight item.
What's your happy place? The summit, baby!
Post-adventure meal of choice? Hawaiian pizza and ice-cold beer
If you could be a rockstar at any outdoor activity, what would it be? Mountain biking
