Every 3rd Friday of the month the Tacoma Mountaineers open their doors for a night of information and inspiration.
Everyone is welcome. Bring the family to see what we do including climbing and scrambling, sea kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, social & family activities, first aid, sailing, navigation, avalanche training, and more. It is a great time to meet and mingle with others who share your passion for the outdoors!
Watch our volunteers with all experience levels giving short presentations on how you can get involved. Activity leaders and chairs from all divisions are present during this open house to answer any specific questions or concerns you might have.
After the short orientation, Justin McGregor will take the stageto share photos and stories of how he and five friends traveled through the rugged eastern heart of the Olympic National Park. Their route took them from the northern trailhead at Obstruction point to the southern edge of the park at Lake Cushman, exploring the rarely visited ridges and valleys in between.
