An Aloha Way of Life: Beachfront Maui Getaway
Package No.102
Special thanks to Mountaineers Books, Ortlieb USA, Sunski, Brynne and Ryan Koscianski.
Take a trip to paradise with this 5-day, 4-night stay at an oceanfront condo in Maui, Hawaii. Swim with sea life, sunbath in the sand, and soak up the stunning views during this perfect tropical getaway.
A home away from home, this 3-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo can accommodate up to six guests and is decked out with its own fully-equipped kitchen, complimentary toiletries and beach accessories, and access to the ground’s pools and jacuzzis. Located in close walking distance from the area’s restaurants, you can feast on local poke until your heart’s content or utilize one of the ground’s grills to whip up the tastiest barbeque as you watch the sun set over the Pacific ocean.
We know it’s an adjustment for Pacific Northwesterners to throw themselves into the Hawaiian sun, so your package will also include sunglasses from Sunski. And if you’re like any other Mountaineers traveler, you’ll probably lose your first pair before getting off the plane, which is why we’ve included three. To make the plane ride a breeze, enjoy a copy of Chasing Waves by Amy Waeschle as you prepare to chase your own sweet swells. It’s a complicated task packing for paradise, so to soothe your worries and propensity to overpack, this package also comes equipped with an Ortlieb rolling duffle and Atrack backpack, space-optimized to hold everything you need (and don't need) in paradise.

Trek to Everest Basecamp in 2024 with Madison Mountaineering
Package No.110
Special thanks to Madison Mountaineering and Brian & Amy Young.
Follow in the footsteps of legends as you trek to the fabled base camp of Mount Everest with Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation board member, Garrett Madison, and his climbing team. The expert staff of Madison Mountaineering—one of the world’s leaders in high-altitude guided climbing—provide a completely dialed-in experience. You’ll get to enjoy a night in Madison's exclusive and well-appointed Everest Base Camp and then awake the next morning to walk among the towering seracs into the Khumbu Icefall and gaze up at the climbing route on Sagarmatha/Chomolungma 'mother goddess of the earth' before heading down the valley.
Trekking through the Khumbu Valley to Everest base camp is life-changing for many. You and the climbing crew will follow the same route to base camp as the Everest climbers and recount historical ascents with the climbers who share lodges along the way. Brush up your responsible climbing etiquette with a stop in the village of Phortse and visit the Khumbu Climbing Center, whose mission is to increase the safety margin of Nepali climbers and high-altitude workers by encouraging responsible climbing practices in a supportive and community-based program.
This one-person package includes accommodations in Kathmandu, round trip airfare from Kathmandu to Lukla, guides and staff to help carry loads, park and porter fees, and all accommodations and meals while on the trek. You’ll also get a chance to don some new Madison Mountaineering swag including a Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Hoody, duffel, and 35L scrambler backpack.
