Name: Harry F Higgins
Hometown: Sumner, WA
Occupation: Civil Legal Aid Paralegal; Professional Photographer
Favorite Things to Photograph: Architecture, Nature, Abstracts
Harry became involved with the Seattle Branch Photography Committee of The Mountaineers after he was a student in the 1998 Basic Photography Course. He even won the grand prized in a photography contest after he entered a photo that was part of one of the class assignments. Many of our members have joined The Mountaineers after taking this course.
Besides winning a grand prize as mentioned above, Harry has also won a Best in Class at the Evergreen State Fair and second place at the WA State Fair. He has won many awards since becoming a professional photographer.
Harry is motivated to get outside and take photos, because it's a chance for him to go places he has never been to before. It makes him curious to try and see things differently. Harry's strength is that he doesn't take things too seriously and likes to have fun when taking photos.
For me, fun is in the acquisition of the image, rather than the editing. I don't even own Photoshop.
Over the years, Harry has been both the secretary and a field trip coordinator for the photography committee.

Attend our monthly potluck, which is the third Wednesday of each month. We socialize and share food, then we have announcements and show photos of what we have seen during the past month or year.
