Occupation: Immunology Research Tech
Favorite Things to Photograph: small, macro, and long exposures
When Heather first joined The Mountaineers, the meetings were right by her work and she could walk over and see all the fun images and meet the people who took them. Her favorite memory from the Seattle Mountaineers Photography Committee is all the great people who also love to take pictures.
When asked what motivates her to get outside and take photos, Heather replied that she likes to really look at something up close and check out all the possibilities. She's even had some of her images hung in shows and selected for a local calendar!
Heather is inspired by all the interesting photography out there today; she keeps learning and trying new techniques. She also likes to lead trips by following leaders she admires.
Photography allows me to be both technical and artistic. As a scientist, I love to learn new things and to play around and experiment.
Heather is currently the treasurer of the Seattle Photography Committee and is also a member of the Northwest Council of Camera Clubs.
